Our new Welcome Home Service supports clients following discharge from a hospital or rehab facility, an exciting but sometimes unnerving transition. An RN will come to your home on the day of discharge for a two-hour visit.

Aware Senior Care Circle of Support
IT TAKES A VILLAGE

That’s why we started our Circle of Support , a list of trusted and vetted individuals who provide the resources and care our clients need.

This month’s Circle of Support Partner is Marcia Jarrell, Executive Director of SarahCare Adult Day Care in Raleigh. At SarahCare, senior adults with cognitive and physical challenges enjoy services such as lunch, transportation, personal hygiene, engaging activities, and coordination of physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

Tim Murray’s own mother Emily was a client at SarahCare. Though Emily was initially reluctant, Marcia and the staff at SarahCare were so kind that she soon grew to love it there. In fact, the staff at SarahCare became an extension of her family.

Read our Q & A with Marcia - and more about Tim’s experience - on the blog.

Not only is this situation frustrating, it can also be dangerous for your loved one, as health issues may not be adequately addressed.

Read Gina Murray’s practical advice on how to make your loved one’s next visit with the doctor more productive and less stressful.
